Asheville Newborn photo sessions normally occur shortly after you bring your baby home from the hospital, but I can accommodate your baby’s newborn photos up to six months of age.
Sessions take place in my studio in Hendersonville, an outdoor location of your choice (during our warm months), or in your home. Sessions taking place in your home will be limited to one or two sunny rooms during the morning hours (so there's no need to clean your house from top to bottom!)
Your experience is just as important to me as the images I deliver, so I will let you know exactly how to prepare for our session with my detailed newborn session guide. I will take as much time as necessary to make sure your little one is safe and happy during our time together…I will never rush.
session FEE includes:
- Pre-session planning, consulting, and styling (if the family is joining your newborn)
- Use of studio wraps, blankets, headbands, and minimalistic studio props
- Session time at the studio or outdoor location (Hendersonville, Mills River, Biltmore, and Asheville areas during warm months)
- Hand editing of high-resolution digital images delivered in an online gallery (quantity of images varies based upon the collection chosen)
- Print rights

questions
You should contact us as soon as you know you want to book as we only take a limited number of newborns per month. We will block off time around the days of your due date if you want your baby’s photos taken soon after birth. We will give you an exact session date once you’ve contacted the studio to say that your baby has arrived.
You don’t need to worry about bringing any clothing unless there is a specific outfit you’d like us to photograph for sentimental value. Gracious Life Photography’s approach to newborn sessions is to document your sweet new angel in a light, simplistic, and natural way. We particularly love newborn images in black and white, so we offer all of our newborn galleries in black and white in addition to the color images.
Gracious Life Photography has an extremely detailed session guide that walks you through what to do during the time leading up to your photo session. We want you to have a happy, full, sleepy baby when you arrive, and we’ve taken every measure to prepare you in advance of your session!
Parents of the newborn are welcome to be part of the session in the studio. If you elect to have an outdoor Asheville newborn photography session during the warm months, I can also accommodate siblings.
